This collection consists of the personal and professional papers of librarian, Robert J. Usher (1880-1944). Included are library correspondence, personal correspondence received and written by Mr. Usher, post cards, photographs with negatives, clippings, a drawing, and manuscripts of scholarly writings which were presented before various groups. Robert Usher's business papers are carbon copies of typed letters from his office files, which largely document book purchases, collection development, and administrative activities at the library. Included is a letter of appreciation from Cecil B. deMille, following a research trip.
