Paul R. Wright papers, 1888-1961.

This collection contains diaries, copies of articles and passports from Paul R. Wright, who was editor and foreign correspondent for the Chicago Daily News between 1904 and 1932. The papers include typescript copies of diaries (1888-1917, 1926, 1929-1930, 1946, 1951, 1961); copies of articles written by Wright in Northern Michigan (1905), in Russia (1919), and in China (1927-1931); passports for Wright and his wife, Heloise Gai Wright; and an extract from the diary of his father, William Morris Wright, describing his experience as a passenger in a Midwestern train wreck in early 1893.
