Brochures, printed materials, press releases, correspondence, information sheets, newsletters, reports, and other materials relating to Chicago (Ill.) people, organizations, and events from the Chicago Sun-Times' Library. Topics include art, social clubs and events, business, crime, ethnicity, foreign affairs, lawyers, civil reform and improvement, communism, public schools, labor, World War II, Chinese News Service, Inc., and the Chicago Committee for Jewish Refugees. Many of these items were sent to the Sun-Times by their original authors and were kept in the library's research files until the topics to which they pertain were no longer of current interest.
