Bank of Illinois (Shawneetown) minute book B, 1837-1845, 1942.

Minutes of meetings of the directors of the Bank of Illinois (Shawneetown), from June 8, 1837, to Feb. 28, 1845, when an Act was approved to put the bank into liquidation. Collection also includes copies of indentures and assignment to the Assignees and agreement with the Assignees duly executed by the President and Cashier. Copy of by-laws, rules and regulations of the bank and for the government of the branches of the bank. John Marshall and later James Dunlap served as bank president. Also present is a letter of explanation, inside back cover, 1942. The package contains the original covers for the repaired volume.
