Henry Moore letters, 1767-1769.

Three autograph letters, signed, from Sir Henry Moore during his time as provincial governor of New York. Two letters are to unknown addressees, dated June 8, 1767 and June 10, 1769; the third, to Edward Long, dated May 20, 1768, discusses Moore's pending trip to Mohawk country to meet with the chiefs of the Six Nations in hopes of staving off another Indian war.
