Samuel Kerfoot papers, 1851-1910.

Correspondence, minutes, and letter books of Samuel H. Kerfoot, early Chicago real estate investor and dealer. The majority of the collection consists of bound letter books (1895-1896, 1896-1897, 1899, 1902, 1904-1906, 1906-1907). The collection also contains correspondence (1851-1910), a record book (1899), and files relating to Kerfoot's involvement with the Chicago Historical Society, including minutes, correspondence, constitution, and by-laws. Kerfoot was a lifetime member of the society and acted as the society's real estate liaison.
