Two copy print photographs of World War I veteran John J. Haddock, a Milwaukee, Wisconsin soldier who served in Company F, 127th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Division. One photograph is formal portrait of Haddock in uniform and the other appears to be taken outside of his house. Originally from Milwaukee, he enlisted in 1917 and served as a mechanic. He participated in the Battle of Meuse-Argonne and was severely wounded at the Battle of Marne. Afterwards he was promoted to sergeant and discharged in 1919. After the war, he lived in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and Chicago, Illinois with his wife, Eleanor, and family. He returned to Wisconsin later in life and died in Madison in 1992. Also included in the collection are copy photograph negatives of the copy prints.
