Edwin A. Robson papers, 1945-1975.

Scrapbooks (7 v.) about the career of Edwin Albert Robson, a federal judge from Chicago (Ill.). Robson was a judge of the Superior Court of Cook County (1945-1951) and the Illinois Appellate Court (1951-1958). Robson was appointed a federal judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1959, where he served as chief judge from 1970 to 1975, then assumed senior status until his death in 1986. Most of the scrapbooks contain newspaper articles mentioning Robson. One scrapbook (1975) contains editorials, biographical information, and letters from President Ford, Chief Justice Warren Burger, Senator Percy, and Chicago Tribune editor Kirkpatrick. Another scrapbook (1945-1950) includes photographs and congratulatory letters.
