Papers of Clifton Waller Barrett concerning Robert Frost, 1945-1963.

The collection contains a wedding announcement for William Prescott Frost, 1957; two telegrams between Kathleen Morrison and R.V. Thornton concerning Frost's arrival at Chicago train station, 1953; a marriage announcement for Lesley Frost, 1952; a photograph of the Frost cabin in Ripton; and a copy of the Russell Alberts/Robert Frost bookplate privately printed (no 3 of 5), 1945. The collection also contains the typescript of a speech given by C. Waller Barrett quoting Robert Frost's defininition of poetry given at the 53rd annual dinner of the Poetry Society of America January 17, 1963, on the occasion of the formation of the Patrons and Sponsors of the Poetry Society of America. The collection also contains a copy of the text of the statement by Frost made in the case United States of America v. Ezra Pound, 1958.
