Collection of letters and manuscripts of William Wordsworth, 1814-1849.

Collection consists of autograph poems (including the last four lines of "Elegiac stanzas, suggested by a picture of Peele Castle, in a storm, painted by Sir George Beaumont," early drafts of "The monument commonly called Long Meg and her daughters, near the river Eden," "Druidical excommunication," and portions from the so-called Peasant's Life section of the Excursion). Collection also includes nine letters (six autograph, two in the hand of Mary Wordsworth, and one a transcription in the hand of Ernest Hartley Coleridge).
