From the 1950-1960 donation: a 41 volume set of original manuscripts, which contain sketches for instrumental works from as early as 1918 and piano-vocal scores for his operettas. This includes holographs of The magic melody, The girl from Brazil, The lonely heart, The student prince, The desert song and 36 others. From the 1967 donation, autograph music manuscripts, copyists' manuscripts, printed music, librettos, and films scripts to supplement the earlier donations. Also included are manuscript fragments and sketches, photocopies of unknown pieces, libretti, photographs, and miscellaneous material documenting his career and activities. Names associated with the collection include Jerome Kern, Deems Taylor, Alexander Woollcott, Oscar Hammerstein, and Dorothy Fields.
