Mrs. Douglas W. Clark collection of Civil War papers, 1853-1864.

Collection includes a telegraph book from the headquarters of the U.S. Army Dept. of the Ohio containing messages (1861 May 28-30) of George Brinton McClellan; journal (1862 November 2-1863 January 12) of Capt. Robert B. Beck of the 30th Missouri Infantry Regiment; autograph book (1863-1864) of U.S. officers confined in Libby Prison, Richmond, Va.; and autograph book of Confederate officers imprisoned at Johnson Island Prison, Ohio. Also includes a Louisiana plantation overseer's book (1853 April 24-December 17).
