Burl Ives collection, 1940-1960.

The bulk of the materials concerns Ives' career in radio and television. A considerable number of sound recordings and kinescopes of television appearances, necessary is housed in the Motion Picture, Broadcasting, and Recorded Sound Division. Other materials relating to Burl Ives are housed in the Archive of Folk Culture. The collection is divided into four series: biographical materials, a large subject file, photograph albums, and scrapbooks. The original order as determined by Burl Ives and his wife, Helen Ives, who served as his business manager, is preserved in the organization of the collection.
