Chiefly correspondence, documents, photographs, and postcards of Neideckeer reflecting Neidecker's service in the U.S. Navy, including letters written to his parents Elizabeth Starr Neidecker and John Adam Neidecker, his wife-to-be Alpha Jane Hennessy, and other family members, chiefly from naval ports along the east coast U.S., Cuba, Turkey, Mexico, Haiti, and other locations; folder of military records (1910-1922) documenting his service with Ohio National Guard and U.S. Navy, including apointments, awards, character references, and discharges; 22 black and white photos of American sailers in naval uniforms, chiefly unidentified although several appear to be of Fred Neidecker; postcards (78 items, 1911-1916), providing pictures and some brief notes of areas visited, including nine postcards written by Melvin A. Holly to Miss May Hasselbart while he was on a European vacation; obituaries and newspaper articles from the Port Clinton area collected by Fred and his sister Elizabeth, as well as genealogical notes on the Starr-Neidecker family; and maps (1679-1965), chiefly of Ottawa County, Ohio and Lake Erie.
