Phillip B. Stanley interview, 1984 July 3.

Stanley tells how his inquiries about smokejumping as alternative service led to the use of conscientious objectors for smokejumping. He discusses the need of the conscientious objectors to prove themselves as well as discussing the training and fire jumps.
