Theodore Thomas memorabilia collection, 1845-1905.

Programs collected by Thomas (ca. 1860-1900) as well as concert programs of groups conducted by Thomas (1864-1891) including the London programs at the Crystal Palace (1873-1894), St. James Hall (1860-1865), and Musical Union Society (1845-1856); the Philadelphia Symphony and Brooklyn Philharmonic (1886-1887); the Festival of North American Saengerbund, Saint Louis (1888); the Theodore Thomas Orchestra concerts (1886-1891); the Cincinnati May Festival programs (1880-1890), and Philadelphia Grand Opera concerts (1890); together with memorabilia donated by the family including awards, presentation batons, and silver gifts, and a two volume scrapbook of obituaries collected upon Thomas' death in 1905.
