Subject matter concerns life in 17th- and 18th-century eastern Massachusetts and coastal New Enlgand. Includes correspondence, work for Dow's books, chapters for books of other writers, articles, and speeches for delivery at meetings or over radio. Much is for the SPNEA periodical "Old Time New England."
