Typescript of Giles M. Haltom's essay (1926) on Nacogdoches, Tex., in 1876 with a lot-by-lot description of buildings and houses and their occupants; together with newspaper clippings on historical subjects which were collected and compiled into a scrapbook by Ettie Lou Cox Meisenheimer. Subjects covered include the history of Nacogdoches, the historic old elm tree, the Hart Hotel, Thomas J. Rusk's gravesite, the Old Stone Fort, Richard Fields and the Fredonian Rebellion, and Christ Episcopal Church.
