Chiefly letters from Williams to his family discussing his military life with Company K, 37th Regiment, North Carolina Troops; together with letter to his parents from his cousin, H.B. Williams, speaking of religion in the camp and consoling the parents on the death of their son, and envolopes. Subjects of Williams's letters include food, marching, desertion, issuing of new Austrian rifles, and sickness and religion in camp.
