Letter copybook (90 p., 1773-1780), containing copies of letters written by Gore and his son, Christopher (graduate of Harvard, lawyer, state legislator, and governor of Massachusetts), regarding delivery of and payment for provisions and goods ordered by customers of the paint shop, and after 1775, letters written by John Gore only, from Halifax and London, chiefly reflecting the difficulty of his separation from his family in Boston, including some personal accounts; and receipt book (126 p., 1768-1800) of receipts of John Gore.
