Materials chiefly relating to the formation of the Jacobstown Baptist Church, Jacobstown, Burlington County, N.J., in 1742, by 30 members of the Church of Christ at Upper Freehold, Monmouth County, who were assisted by the Reverends Oliver Hart and Peter Wilson; minutes of church meetings (1785-1807); covenant (1785 Oct. 19); subscription list (1785-1841) and list of marriages (1813-1822) performed by William Stockton, justice of the peace in Burlington County (copied by Potts in 1872); list of names from tombstones in the Episcopal graveyard in Burlington, N.J.; list of Friends (1692) attending the yearly meeting in Burlington (Philadelphia Yearly Meeting); Philadelphia Friends owning carriages in 1782; and notes on the Potts and Steelman family genealogies.
