E.B. Caldwell papers, 1814-1821.

Documents pertaining to Caldwell including a letter sent by Caldwell to the president and directors of the Bank of Washington stating the opinion of Wm. Jones on a case pertaining to the purchase of lots (1 June 1821); two sheets with the allocation of lots hand drawn upon them, one lot assigned to Caldwell, the property being allocated located between Carroll and 3d St. East and South J and K streets (sheet 1) and L and M streets (sheet 2); and a promissory note in which Caldwell agrees to pay Griffith Coombe $2574.62 (8 June 1814).
