The Marianna Trekell collection, 1929-1992 ; (bulk 1930-1960).

Correspondence, printed matter, glass transparencies, photographs, one video tape, and 18 oral history tapes acquired during Trekell's tenure as archivist at DGWS. Includes records of the Women's Division of the National Amateur Athletic Federation, the first national women's collegiate golf tournament, and the Eleanor Metheny Memorial Lecture. Transparencies depict women's sports and portraits of leaders, particularly Rachel Bryant. Also includes materials for a biography of Gertrude E. Moulton, the subject of Trekell's dissertation. Correspondents include Laura Huelster, Mabel Lee, and Celeste Ulrich.
