Judd, Horton Owen Knapp, Thomas Lafon, John Fawcett Pogue, George Berkeley Rowell, James W. Smith, John Stetson, Reuben Tinker, Maria Kapule Whitney (later Maria Kapule Whitney Pogue), Samuel Whitney, Abner Wilcox, and Lucy E.H. Wilcox. Includes station and school reports from missions at Koloa (1835-1866), Waioli (1835-1863), and Waimea (1830-1866). Also includes letters (originals and transcripts) of Charles Burnham, plantation manager at Koloa (1840); excerpts from letters (1836-1840) of William Hooper relating to Koloa; and original writings and notes of Elsie Wilcox on place names of Hanalei and Kauai.

Dr. James William Smith and his wife, Melicent Knapp, came to Hawaii on the brig "Sarah Abigail" in 1842 with the Tenth Missionary Company. They were stationed at Koloa, Kauai; Dr. Smith was the only physician on the island. In 1854 he was ordained to the ministry and became pastor of three Evangelical churches.
