Papers of Benjamin Riggs (1759-1846), his sons, James (1785-1866) and Moses (1795-1886), and his grandson, Kervin Riggs (1829-1906), all ship captains, who were involved in shipbuilding and handled coastwise and West Indian trade from their homes in Georgetown. Subjects include Moses Riggs's activities as a partner in Sampson & Riggs in the 1860s.
