Letters (1845-1846) from Cooke to his wife, Angela B. Navarro Cooke, and to his brother, George B. Cooke, discussing his service for the Republic and state of Texas, his campaign for the U.S. Congress, and personal matters. Also includes a letter to Mrs. Cooke from 1848 discussing Cooke's estate and an 1835 muster roll of the New Orleans Greys at the Siege of Bexar. Other places represented include Austin, Bexar County, and San Saba County, Tex., and Washington, D.C.
