The Celia L. Adolphi oral history transcript consists of an 89 page transcribed oral history interview. Adolphi recalls much of her childhood, college years, and early United States (U.S.) Army Reserve years. She discusses her commission as a Quartermaster officer and becoming a food advisor. She mentions her civil service work as well. Adolphi discusses her commitment to the Reserves, her responsibilities, and being a woman officer. She describes her time as an acting commander and the challenges she faced. According to Adolphi, attending the U.S. Army War College from 1991-1992 was a rewarding experience, and unique for her because of her three perspectives as a female, civilian, and Reservist. She shares a little of her experience with Operation Joint Endeavor and issues as Deputy Commanding General at the U.S. Army Quartermaster School. Adolphi also discusses experience at the Joint Staff level.

Major General (MG) Celia L. Adolphi grew up in Indiana. She enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves as a clerk typist and went to the Women's Army Corp (WAC) Enlisted Course at Fort McClellan in the summer of 1977. She received direct appointment in June 1978 as a captain, at the age of 34. Adolphi served as Assistant Chief of Staff, Services, and Assistant Chief of Staff, Training for the 310th Theater Army Area Command at Fort Belvoir.
