Marie Brehm (b. June 30, 1859, Sandusky, OH-d. Jan. 21, 1926, Passadena, CA) was the first legally qualified woman to run for Vice President of the United States in 1924 on the Prohibition Party ticket. She lived in Illinois was involved in the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union (WCTU) starting in 1891. By 1901 Brehm was elected president of the Illinois WCTU.
