She expresses that she began to read with some apprehension, having so frequently seen very agreeable companions prove very indifferent writers ..." · To Miss Tickell : 1 autograph letter unsigned (fragment?) : [watermark = 1807] : (MISC 2389) : [no place] : apparently once enclosing a letter to a Miss [Steers?]; regarding correspondence with a carpet manufacturer; asking her correspondent to say "That the Lady is obliged to them for a sight of the Carpet Patterns, but finds she cannot, in the Country, get a carpet fitted except by employing an upholsterer, who of course expects to supply the [article?] ..."
