A short letter indicating his having sent "our apologies to Mrs. Woodhouse" and enclosing her reply; insisting that he go to Nether Lypiatt; indicating his departure for Rye. Autograph notes continue letter, discussing Emery Walker's improved health, the N.Y. Stock Market being "up," and a pleasant evening on the Thames with a group of men called "The Galley Club," including a single female member, Beatrice Warde.

Henry Watson Kent served as the first professional librarian of the Grolier Club from 1903 to 1906 and originated its classification scheme. He continued to serve the Club during the following decades through its Library, Publications and House committees, and its Council.
