General description of the collection: "Anzio beachhead" contains a brief recounting of United States (U.S.) Army Nurse Corps Lieutenant Helen Talboy's actions at Anzio beachhead in World War II (WWII). Though she felt fear, she overcame it when the Germans attacked. She took charge after the hospital was bombed, and made sure all the wounded were cared for.
