Congratulating him on his editorship; discussing [Edward?] Johnston's article and his regret that it will be published "in book form, so soon"; recommending the consideration of the work of John Wilson of Cambridge University Press, "especially in connection with" various printers, and several other presses to consider, all of whom deserve recognition (although it may be too late); discussing his own work resulting in the Riverside Press Editions and related reminiscences; indicating that he hopes to see Johnston's book illustrated; suggesting that he might pass the letter along to Johnston to share his "minor and personal" criticisms.
