Thomas Dreier collection, 1893-1979.

Holographic, photocopied, and typed correspondence, scrapbooks focusing on Dreier's career and accomplishments, assorted slides of Snell Isle and Florida fruits and flowers, clippings of his editorials published in the St. Petersburg Times between 1940 and 1951, and clippings of his column "Brickbats and Bouquets," published in 1939. The collection also includes Dreier's "Vagabonds' Notebooks," which are personal journals that incorporate photographs of family members, their homes, guests, and vacations.

Newspaper columnist. Born in 1884 in Wisconsin, Thomas Dreier lived for many years in New Hampshire before moving to Snell Isle, St. Petersburg, in 1935. He was a proficient writer of editorials, corporate publications, and newspaper columns. His column in the St. Petersburg Times, "Brickbats and Bouquets," focused on the improvement and beauty of the St. Petersburg area.
