Scrapbook kept about John Holcombe of Hartford, Connecticut. Holcombe served as President of Phoenix Mutual Life Insurance Company and was active in the affairs of Hartford. He served on the Board of Health and as a councilman for the city. Holcombe graduated from Hartford Public High School and Yale. He was also very active with the Yale alumni club in Hartford, serving as it's president. The scrapbook contains a variety of news clippings, the majority from Hartford papers. Includes his obituary.
