Sir Henry Wentworth Acland (1815-1900) was a physician. In 1834 Acland matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford, he graduated B.A. in 1840, M.A. in 1842, M.B. in 1846, and M.D. in 1848. In 1840 he was elected fellow of All Souls' College and, in the same year, commenced the study of medicine, entering himself at St. George's Hospital, London.
