Photographs from the Edwin Allen Sherman papers [graphic]. ca. 1870-ca. 1918.

Collection includes portraits (some are photos of paintings) of family members and others including: Edwin A. Sherman, Rear Admiral Baird, Allan Banks Sherman (Sr. and Jr.), and various Union army commanders. Other photos show an observance of the anniversary of the US flag in Monterey, World War I military portraits, ROTC at the San Francisco Presidio, illustrations from the book: 50 years of Masonry in California, the Lincoln monument in Illinois, unidentified military scenes, etc. Oversize panoramic photographs ( --G) depict World War I-era military group portraits at Camp Lewis, Washington and Presidio of San Francisco.

2 folders (ca. 40 photographic prints) and 3 oversize folders (10 prints) ; 30 x 38 cm. or smaller.
