Diaries, 1852-1864.

The diaries record an 1852-53 sheep drive from the Rio Grande to California by the southern route and back by Tejón Pass and Mohave Desert toward Albuquerque. The journals also note weather, crops, and farming conditions during the 1860s, and an 1864 trip from Peralta to Missouri by way of Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Pawnee Rock, and Council Grove.
