Manuscript, in a variety of print hands, describing John Daniel's experiences in the Jacobite army from the arrival of Prince Charles Stuart until the Battle of Culloden, and Daniel's subsequent escape through the Highlands and finally to France, where he remained. Includes Daniel's descriptions of Jacobite leaders, including the Duke of Perth (James Drummond), Lord Balmerino (Arthur Elpinstone), and Lord George Murray. Commissioned by Clementina Sarah Drummond-Burrell, Baroness Gwydyr (1786-1865), heir of the 11th Earl of Perth, as a present for John Wedderburn.
