Drawings and prints chiefly created by Rodolphe Töpffer, with a few drawings by his father, Adam-Wolfgang Töpffer, circa 1830-1846, as well as some copies of drawings by Rodolphe Töpffer attributed to Édouard Mercier, circa 1880. Images include depictions of landscapes in Switzerland and Italy, portraits, and cartoons. Many are preparatory drawings for publications by Rodolphe Töpffer, as well as advertisements, the autography prints, galley sheets, and an uncut page sheet for Voyages et aventures du Docteur Festus (1840). The collection includes a letter from Rodolphe Töpffer to his wife, Anne-Françoise "Kity" Moulinié Töpffer, which he wrote after undergoing water bath treatments in Vichy, France, in September 1844.
