The gypsey's tent : a true incident, dedicated to Miss Cicely Egerton by her affectionate aunt, Harriot Blackburne, 1849, January.

Manuscript poem, in pen and black ink, illustrated with full-page silhouette illustrations cut from glazed black paper. Each silhouette is composed of multiple pieces of paper neatly overlapped to give the appearance of a single cut sheet. The illustrations show figures among contemporary furnished domestic interiors or outdoors, among natural elements. Each of the 9 silhouettes faces a page of verse. The text is apparently original and unpublished, and rehashes the stereotype of the deceitful, criminal gypsy.
