Letter : to Lady Diana Beauclerk, [between 1782 and 1790].

A brief letter from Walpole to Lady Diana Beauclerk in which he informs her that he has found a supplier of Frontignac wine and offers to share some bottles to see if they are to her liking. He explains that he is sending George Selwyn to her as he is too ill to visit her himself. Includes wax seals; a facsimile signature pasted on.

Dr. John Allen (1771-1843) was a political and historical writer. In 1791 he graduated with an MD from the University of Edinburgh. In 1801, in his capacity as a doctor, he accompanied Lord Holland to Spain, and on his return to England became a regular inmate of Holland House.
