Manuscript, in a single hand, of a transcription of letters from Horace Walpole to Anne, Countess of Ossory. In his correspondence, Walpole primarily discusses items of social interest including the movements of friends into and out of town, dinners, deaths of friends, and his own declining health; as well as his opinions of new novels, plays, and dancers. In one letter, he reports on the progress of the taste of English gardening in Paris; elsewhere he expresses his interest in the arrival of the German dancer Anna Heinel in England and gives his opinion on the novels of Frances Burney.
