Signed autograph letter from Ledyard Seymour, son of Hartford, Connecticut's first mayor, Thomas Seymour, to his parents Thomas and Mary. Seymour, a member of the Yale Class of 1792, reports on his life as a Yale undergraduate, briefly describing the size of his class, Yale President Stiles's stance on the boarding policy for the College, and other details of student life. Seymour also asks his parents for a number of clothing items, inquires after his mother's health and his brothers, and mentions his parent's involvement in the building of a mill.
