Record book consisting of a copy of the North West Ditch Company's articles of agreement, minutes of company meetings, financial accounts, and a copy of a receipt. The articles of agreement, dated 1862 Sep 27, list the founding members of the company as Henry Phleger, the firm of McLean & Stapleton, George Copley, Conrad Kohrs, Joseph Clark, Henry Hushen and the firm of Lewis & Co. Accounting entries begin on Sep 20, 1862, and record financial transactions, including the amounts provided by each shareholder to the company's general funds, until Aug 1864. Includes five sets of minutes for meetings in 1862, 1863 and 1865. Minutes include specifications for ditches, wages, and results of the election of company officers as well as actions on financial and organizational matters.
