[Debates in Parliament], [ca. 1690].

Manuscript, in a single hand, of a collection of Parliamentary documents. The manuscript begins with a compilation of rules for holding Parliament, addressing such issues as the duty of the Speaker when he is presented to the King; free speech, petitions, trials, and committees in Parliament; and when and how Parliaments are held and when and how they are dissolved. These rules are followed by "Articles of high treason and other heinous misdemeanors agt. Edwd. Earle of Clarendon," followed by a "Collection of proceedings in the House of Commons about impeaching the Earle of Clarendon late Lord Chancellour, with the debates and speeches concerning that matter," which contains a debate concerning the interpretation of word "knowingly" to refer to Clarendon's flight. The collection concludes with a summary of the judgment against Titus Oates regarding his role in the fabrication of the Popish Plot, titled "Reports of the conference...concerning the two Judgmts. agt. Titus Oates, wth. Mr. Foley's report touching proceedings upon Conferences, & free conferences."
