Duckett papers, 1643-1710, Calne, Wiltshire and other places.

Manuscripts, in multiple hands, of papers primarily relating to the legal disputes of George Duckett and his family. The collection includes several legal documents regarding Duckett's rent disputes; a copy of a lease granted by William Duckett; several copies of papers relating to a disputed election as Member of Parliament for Calne in 1710; and expenses on account of a petition relating to that election as well as accounts regarding fees paid to the master of the Queen's bench. The last item in the volume is a printed page of the votes of the House of Commons on December 22, 1710.
