Manuscript, in a single hand, of Rodd's adaptation and English translation of Perez de Hita's historical novel of the civil wars of Granada in the 16th century. Beginning with the origins of the rebellion after the conquest of Granada by Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain in 1492, the narrative traces the suppression of the revolt of the Moors in the Alpujarras mountains between 1568-1571. The volume includes 34 English translations of contemporary Moorish border ballads, as well as 8 originals by Rodd.
