Autograph manuscript collection primarily of elegies, love poems, and occasional verses by various authors, with some patriotic and religious verse. "The Year of Sorrow" and others by William R. Spencer; several poems by William Cowper, Samuel Rogers, Richard B. Sheridan, Robert Southey and Horace Walpole; several verses related to and/or composed at Crewe Hall; some attributed to Colman, David Garrick, Gray, Col. Grenville, Moore, Wordsworth, and others; translated excerpts from Pindar and Euripides. A few riddles, rebuses, and short comic verses. Several verses attributable to Charles Burney (1757-1817).
