Fugitive pieces or, a collection of oddities, 1786.

Manuscript, in a single hand, of a collection of 77 short anecdotes, verses, epitaphs, and aphorisms, many of them humorous. The volume includes "Meditations on a pudding" by Samuel Johnson, "Annecdotes of Henry the 4th of France," and "An Anecdote, An Epigram, and a Puzzle." One entry, for example, explains that "A gentleman wish'd to have twins, that he might say 'O gemini!' but he recollected the joke was too expensive."
