Fables choisies de John Gay, [18th Century].

Manuscript on paper, in a single hand, of 20 of Gay's "Fables" translated into French verse by Charles-Louis de Mauroy, chevalier (1734-1803). The fables, containing numerous corrections, include "Le phantome," "L'Epagneul et le Cameleon," "L'Indien, le Soleil, et le Nuage," and "Le moribond et l'ange."
